Today hit a bit of everything in the upper body, but had a significant focus on shoulders. Best result of the day was achieving a new PB on the rear delt fly of 73kg for reps - probably could have one rep maxed higher until leave that for next time!

Another development is that my lateral raises are definitely improving, I’m getting the 12.5kgs to move much easier and it feels great to finally move on from the 10kg’s.

Finally, I have stumbled upon my new favorite clean food combo - egg whites and vegemite! Instead of relying on the fats from whole eggs for flavour, I’ll just put vegemite in some toast/bread and the saltiness tastes great with the eggs. Will definitely be using this more and more as I am still cutting weight as you will see in the pics.

Food is clean, maybe swap the crumpets for rice cakes, although I love crumpets as well 🤣

Great work with 70kg on the rear delts but remember to engage your core and control the movement to maximise effectiveness.

What exercise are you thinking of chest?
Thank you for the tips! For chest it’s mainly incline bench press :)

Good progression and nice work with the PBs.

I noticed that you like experimenting with your meals.I think thats important to keep things interesting. You mentioned Vegemite, my favourite. I can eat vita veets with butter, Vegemite and slice of cheese every friken day. Now I'm going to try it with my eggs 👌 never thought of it.

thank you for your feedback! I’ll be sure to try your recommendation too, sounds good :D

Yesterday was pretty full on for me so didn’t quite have the time to get the log up, so reporting on yesterday and today.

Yesterday I hit a shorter shoulder and arms session as I had jiu jitsu after which was always gonna work up a sweat so I didn’t want to go to hard beforehand, but also wanted to give my arms and shoulders a bit of stimulation as a warm up and also because i find they grow more by training them more often (I typically hit arms/shoulders 3 times a week which is pretty high but it’s working really well for me at the moment).

I do feel a bit like a broken record saying similar stuff but really loving the progress I’m making with the upper body movements, especially with my rear delt flys and lateral raises. I also hit a heavy set of curls with 17.5kg dumbbells which was tough but man the pump was crazy and it just means I’m inching closer and closer to the 20’s which is pretty gangster haha (at least for me).

Today I’ve taken it easy to give my CNS some time to recharge and let the muscles grow so I’ve kept my cardio today low impact - shooting for 25k steps and clocked 45 minutes on the stationary bike this morning just to get the metabolism going and of course it means I can get more food in without gaining excess fat.

Tomorrow I should be hitting chest and back which I’m looking forward to as the chest and back are bigger muscle groups so i don’t like to hit them more than twice a week to allow adequate recovery - the scarcity of hitting these groups makes the workout more enjoyable for me so I’ll be sure to smash it!

Overall really love how the physique is developing. The arms and shoulders are still definitely the stars of the show and as my chest gets built up things will only get better!

By December i reckon I’ll be properly beach ready at this rate so just staying focused for now and making sure I get exactly what I need to get done each and every session.

Cheers guys,

You're updates are always a good read and the passion you have is inspiring. 🤝

Do you keep a log of your workouts, like the weights, reps etc. If you do, I think you should paste them in here each time. Be good to see your progression.

How did your chest workout go @BrazyGiant1 ? I also seen you were aiming to do 25k steps. I'd love to do that but the problem is I never have the time. I struggle getting my workouts in.

Today I hit chest, legs and finished up with some back/bi’s.

I did find that since I trained arms Wednesday evening and now hitting them Friday morning I didn’t get quite the amount of recovery I was hoping for so I felt a bit fatigued during those sets towards the end. Fortunately I always take the weekends off so I’ll be ready to smash them again Monday morning!

As for chest my movements felt really good, especially my pec fly which I typically do 90kgs on. I have also introduced doing static holds on the pec fly machine to isolate the upper chest and I really get a strong connection to the pec muscles when I do that. I try hold for as long as possible - typically about 20-30seconds.

As for legs, it’s always my worst muscle group to train as it is with most people haha but im even more motivated these days to get it done because my upper body is growing so fast and I need my legs to keep up to avoid looking too top heavy!

This weekend I’ll just keep focused on eating cleans and getting my steps in, but nothing too intense as I’ll need the recovery for Mondays workout.

See a post workout pic and some food from today.

Cheers guys,

Cheers guys,
I noticed that you’re doing some decent weights with higher intensity additions . If long term goal is still mass you might need a bit more recovery time between workouts. True strength, mass & power requires quite a few days between body parts so they recover. Since you’re doing other fitness stuff as well it might be worth reviewing your split to allow an extra rest day. Shoulders & arms are particularly prone to overuse which may not be noticeable for years.
Well done on excellent progress so far

After some intense touch footy yesterday I thought I might skip today to recover, but as soon as the anadrol kicked in as my preworkout I know I was on pace to have a cracker session.

Didn’t hit shoulders too hard as I pinned my right shoulder on Thursday so I focused more on Bi’s/tris and back today.

Really happy with my tricep push downs as I mentioned before repping out the 45s for a comfortable 10-15 reps, and loving the low row which gives me a crazy back pump. Next time around I’ll confirm what weight I was doing but as I’m leaning out I’m noticing some really solid back growth which I’m stoked about. Tomorrow and Monday will probably be rest days as it’s been a hectic week of training and as they say you grow in your rest days so looking forward to a big shoulders and chest session on Tuesday next week.

See below for some meals today (I know the beef and rice looks questionable haha but it tastes much better than it looks)!
i love how u leave some beef raw.. Yum :)

I totally agree with that. Taking time to recover is really important for building strength and muscle.. helps prevent injuries that can slow you down. Making sure you have enough rest days and tuning into how your body feels can really make your workouts more effective and helps you avoid burnout.

Hey guys, happy to report an insane workout this morning - demolishing all things upper body.

Really feeling the gains in the delts recently both aesthetically and in my lifts as I did managed 80kg on the rear delt fly for reps, and did some pretty long static holds with the 20kg kettlebells raised above my head to hit the top part of the shoulder. Other than that the back and arms seem to still be progressing at a solid rate! I think I’ll close out the year with 15kg lateral raises and 65kg push downs fingers crossed haha. Goals are ambitious but very achievable given my rate of progress so far. I am so bloody keen to see what next year will bring.

I’ll be taking tomorrow off and focusing on chest and legs on Wednesday. I’ll be back to report how it went then! See a post workout pic and some from today, below :)

Cheers guys

Merry Christmas guys!

This will be a shorter one as gym was closed so didn’t hit the weights today, just managed to keep the diet clean enough and get my steps in to keep the metabolism going.

Tomorrow I’ll be hitting everything as it’ll be almost 3 days off by that stage so I’m well rested and will be going ham in the gym probably for a couple hours and look forward to posting the results!

Hope you guys had a great day too and are smashing it out till the new year.

Cheers

Happy Boxing Day everyone!

Had plans later in the day so made sure to smash out a work out this morning. Mostly focused on back and Bi’s as the left delt still needed a little more time to get to 100% after pinning last night so couldn’t go to heavy on the shoulders.

Really happy about how it went as I max’d out my gyms rowing machine (pin loaded machine). I have another gym with a plate loaded rower so I can go heavier there but this is a milestone never the less. Can’t quite remember the exact amount it’s probably between 125kg which is an awesome sign for my back development. tricep push downs felt great as per usual - I think tricep pumps are probably the most underrated which is why I always hit them first as the feeling carries me through the whole session lol.

Standard curls for biceps as they still get hit pretty hard in the lat pull downs so didn’t want to burn them out too early on in the workout.

I’ll probably be doing some legs tomorrow morning and then taking the weekend off as per usual as I gear up for next week - pun intended :D
