I have been rather slack on training legs so decided today was the day! Walked into the gym trembling not because i was scared of leg day but because it was freezing cold!

Workout
  • single leg machine extensions - 5 sets -weight per leg 25kg x18 ,40kg x 15 ,50kg x 10 ,60kg x 7 ,30kg x 20 .
  • kneeling Single leg curl - 5 sets - weight per leg - 30kg x 15, 45kg x 12, 60kg x 10, 55kg x 10, 40kg x 15
  • Good girl abductor machine - 3 sets - 82kg x 15, 110kg x 12 , 117kg x 15
  • seated plated calf raise - 4 sets - 50kg x 14, 50kg x 11, 40kg x 13, 40kg x 14
  • incline bench barbell press - 4 sets - 40kg x15, 60kg x 12, 80kg x 10, 80kg x 8
  • seated plate loaded dip machine - 5 sets - 80kg x 17, 100kg x 15, 110kg x 12, 120kg x 9, 40kg x 15
  • Barbell Squats 3 sets and 1 fail - 40kg x 15, 80kg x 10, 100kg x 5, 120 kg fail

been rather hectic with real life, family, school runs, work and just general life so haven't had much of a chance to update my comp log much this week here is to a better week next week!

After some discussion with a few wiser people than myself, I have changed up my Macros for my growth phase. as even with the additional 500 - 800cal per day my weight was not changing

I was pretty much advised my carb intake was too low and we needed to raise this up. so I now have a target of around 400g min per day of carbs keeping around 200-250g in protein and the remaining in Fats

target Calories are still sitting 3500 per day.

few meals I have been having of late now i have extra or a more carb focused diet.

Still got a good head of hair, how long have you been on Mast for now? I'm rapidly thinning and worried my hair will fall straight out if I take masterone. I shaved it a few months back ready for my first cycle just in case, my wife hated it and thought I looked like a cancer patient. So maybe a bit too early to shave it off.

Aalmost all this year , I go fortnightly for a cut my hair is like thistles it grows faster than I can get my muscles to grow.

Hair loss seems more genetic than a definite

As Sunday is church day in our house so no gym but as i wake before the rest of the family, I normally get a little cardio and get the doggo out for a good walk. so out we venture in the freezing cold 4deg, came home with my hands that cold I struggled unlocking the door.

cooked up 100g of sliced ham, 2 eggs and 200ml of egg whites and had this with 2 slices of peanut butter toast.

then we off to church as a fam.

chilled afternoon just cooking up rice and few meals for the week and family.

Got Daddy duty this morning so school run and then gym at soccer mum hour! should be fun worse part is finding a car park among all the SUVs and Kia Carnivals!

Not a huge workout but a chest focused day. really feel my chest still is lacking behind my shoulders.

  • Incline barbell bench - 5 sets - 40kg,60kg,70kg,80kg,90kg
  • Seated Plate loaded Dip leaning forward for chest activation - 5 sets - 80kg,100kg,120kg, 120kg, 80kg

  • seated narrow grip road - 3 sets - 80kg, 80kg, 80kg
  • reverse grip EZY bar cable curls - 3 sets - 15kg, 21.25kg, 25kg

Had a little on today with emails and teams' meetings so needed to get back home.

Post gym meal -
250ml Protein oat milk with scoop of protein
250g cooked basmati rice
150g extra lean beef mine
2 whole eggs

Got my emails done and thought I would try enjoying some sunlight and took the doggo for a walk for some extra steps.


Rest of the day will be rather quiet just doing some work and housework, let's see what tomorrow brings!

Daddy duties with the school run again and fight peak hour traffic to get to the gym for my workout

Have changed up the diet and the workout a little - have increase Carbs to 50% of my calories, I have found since doing this I have begun to feel sore again the next day after training. I am unsure if this is related or what but due to this has made me change my workouts a little with a bit more Push Pull Leg style to get sore body parts a rest.

So more of a back focus today:
  • isolated seat high rows - weight and rep per arm - 32.5kg x 15, 52.5kg x 10, 57.2kg x 10, 62.5kg x 7
  • Isolated lateral row - weight and rep per arms - 25kg x 10, 45kg x 12, 60kg x 9 , 70kg x 5, 45kg x 10
  • seated cable rows - 70kg x 10, 70kg x 15, 80kg x 10, 80kg x 10
  • lateral cable raise - weight and rep per arm - 10kg x 10, 12.5kg x 6, 10kg x 10

Home for post workout meal - 250ml so good high protein oat milk with blackbelt protein, 150g extra lean beef mince, 250g cooked basmati rice and 1 whole egg!

feel with the higher Carb macros, I am getting pumps again after training and feeling sore the next day again. so lets hope this means i am able to grow!
 
How you finding the L Carnitine? I heard a lot of good things about it.
I have been taking in Monday to Friday and just giving the body a break from needles over weekend.

Have found a great mood change while using it, I do a morning injection 600mg (1ml) and then make sure I pair is with a fast digestive carb source. Gives a kind of Happy Go Lucky attitude.

That’s interesting, didn’t realise it could affect mood like that. You reckon it’s the L-Carn itself or more the combo with carbs in the morning?

Freezing here with a top of 10deg, so you know i had to have a massive fight with my 13yr about how she needs to wear tights to stay warm which was a battle I was not ever going to win so throw my hand up in and took the loss on this! then it was wrangle the 7yrs to get her jumper on and brush her hair! almost need to be a professional MMA fighter to grapple her into submission.

Then we in the car and blasting our tunes and fighting the morning traffic! In and out of the kiss and drop line without road raging with Karren in her new 200 series or Reshma in her x5! today is going to be a good day even if the weather is rubbish!

On the freeway and Waze tell me 25min in traffic to Gym, perfect to time the double scoop of pre work out and try and get hyped up for hitting some legs!

Got a little excited as added 30kg total to my Hack squat best! so, let's get into the workout


  • 5 sets of Hack squat - 20kg x 10, 40kg x 12, 60kg x 14, 80kg x 11, 80kg x 10
  • 4 sets of seated calf raise - 50kg for each set with 15 reps - nice pause at the top
  • 4 sets on the kneeling curl machine - weight and reps per leg - 40kg x 15, 50kg x 14, 60kg x 10, 60kg x 7
  • 3 sets good girl machine (abductors) - 110kg x 15, 124kg x 13, 138kg x 5
  • 4 sets of incline dumbbell chest press - weight of dumbbell per hand - 10kg x 15, 17.5kg x 12, 20kg x 14, 27.5kg x 10 - had never done this before so needed to guess what weight to use
  • pronated reverse grip curls dumbbells - 7.5kg x 15, 7.5kg x 15, 10kg x 14
  • Hammer curl dumbbells - 10kg x 15, 15kg x 9, 15kg x 10

Been good throwing in few new movements and trying some different styles of late, so hopefully see if this helps my progress and development!
