Approved Log My Competition Log 2025 - ChasetheCase

Well this was a rushed workout, had to work from home today due to some meeting times and working around the kid school runs didn't work. Unfortunately didn't have much time for a workout so thought I'd give my shoulders a quick test.

Good news I can actually start loading them up now, I feel a little bit of discomfort but it feels like an issue due to the fact that my shoulder hasn't done that type of movement for a long time. Will keep going and hope it improves rather than gets worse.

Great to have a clean garage again to be able to train in, and most importantly my own music!

Protein shake during workout, and yesterday's dinner for lunch. Mash, meatballs and green beans.

Looks like the shoulders been giving you some drama. Don't load it up too fast just be cautious.
Thanks @venatorx frustratingly I’ve had a bad run of consistent injuries. Luckily nothing serious but has destroyed my last 3 months.

Agree, I’ve learnt the hard way over the years. But now I’m an old fart I have far less of an ego so don’t mind training real light and working around injuries slowly.

Lunch workout and boom! Back to squatting! It feels like forever ago I was under the bar, knee was stable. Not 100% but close to it. I can build up from here and fantastic feeling to know my legs won’t rot away.

Took it easy and went high reps, stopped at 120. I wanted to try going up again but that little angel in my head spoke ***ily to me to go no further and I listened.

My back has started to show through from the front, haven’t noticed before, still a very long road ahead to my goal though. I’m really trying to hold off rushing back to my previous baseline but so hard to motivate myself when I’m doing lower weights. A little bloated just lost sight of my abs.

Treating myself to lunch, not a great choice

4:50 start, MMA sparring. I'm in agony. 10x 3min rounds with increasing output, followed by 7x 1m rounds where the goal was to win the round through pressure. Second to last round I thought I was going to chuck. My cardio needs more work, I'm just not there yet cardio wise and found myself the last few rounds easing off and keeping distance. However I'm very pleased as last time I was battered by boxer, he just won a big amateur competition a while back, but I got the upper hand this time, just kept blasting his leg away and then going in with combos. He's very good normally at getting you to fight his fight where he entices you into close range. Luckily not today.

Back home, typical bannana shake followed by a 1ltr water for my test. Kids at school and drive straigh to pathology.

Took my AussieScript referral, no issues with the script. However endedup waiting 35 minutes even though I had a booked apointment, after complaining the guy told me my name wasn't marked of propertly. I snidely told him you checked me in. I then found out that he was going to be the person taking my blood, luckily he didn't have any "issues" finding my vein. Annoyingly due to the wait I missed the 0930 collection, so won't get collected until late today now so not sure how much it'll delay my results. Normally they're back the next day if picked up in the early collection.

Anway look foward to seeing how it compares to Roidsafe.

No pain no gain! That sounds like a hell of a lot of sparring!
Gotta love people that don't respect your time

Yeah I really wasn't expecting such hard sparring this morning, especially as they had fighters competing at the weekend so I had assumed it would be a nice easy session. Just still in pain regualry all over from eating kicks and punches, my body's turned soft after two years off. Glad I can still hold my own after such time off though.

That's great work there, I'd be very proud of that!

Well today marks two weeks over my planned dr consultation for TRT, very surprised I haven't heard from my clinic. Wonder how long it'll take them to contact me? If they even do.

My long term decision of doing DIY TRT vs clinic has come to an end, in the end my financial situation has forced this for me. Good news is @ozsteroids stock Bayer Primoteston so I don't have to worry about the long term effects of 30 odd years of possible heavy metal contanimation. Will continue to do all my cycles with UGL gear and do my TRT with pharma. Also gives me the flexibilty I always wanted on running a proper long cycle now without worrying about having to get my bloods back for clinic test. I was stuck at doing short cycles which obviously significantly reduced the effect the cycle gave me.

Still don't have my bloodwork back from yesterday, hoping it comes through tomorrow.

The whole blast with UGL and Cruise with TRT clinic definitely seems to be the way to do it. Gives the flexibility of being able to travel and such too. Which clinic did you go to? The guys I went with were a really quick turnaround for the first part of the process, but it's been months, and I haven't heard from them since they sent me the Test, pretty sure there's was supposed to be bloodwork they wanted, but I think I'll worry about that when I need to renew the script unless they ask.

Oh you misread, I've been with a clinic for the last 18 months, I've always wanted to change to Primal (6 monthly bloods) as the clinic I was with wanted blood work every 3-4 months. I've just passed the 4 month mark now so will be doing the DIY route. What I meant was that I'll buy genuine Primoteston from @ozsteroids for TRT and other UGL gear for cycles.

Yeah the travelling reason, and the the potential risk of using UGL for many years and with kids made me take the legal route. I've just had to accept that I currently can't afford it, and being a first time offender I'm highly likely to just get fined. I looked into it and the standard fine is $2200 in NSW.

Ah yea that also makes sense 😅 feels safer doing the clinic route, but also its so much cheaper from these guys, and I've been using both (mainly because I ran out of draw needles), and it's pretty clear it's exactly the same stuff in the end.

Happy Friday all,

The comp ends a little earlier for me as I’m away this weekend.

This has been a great competition, and I want to give a big thanks to the admin team and sponsors for putting it all together. It’s been awesome watching everyone improve over time and getting an insight into different approaches to training and nutrition. I just wish I’d been able to contribute a bit more along the way. It’s been fantastic seeing how supportive this community is.

For me, it’s definitely been a journey. I set out aiming for the stars and didn’t even hit the moon! I had some bad luck with injuries, but on the positive side I think I did a good job staying consistent where I could and training around the setbacks. My diet was solid overall apart from a few pizzas, I’ve pretty much avoided sugar aside from what’s in milk.

As for progress, I didn’t manage to get a DXA scan in time, but I feel like my bodyfat is about the same. In terms of weight, I’ve been tracking with a 7-day moving average. I started the comp at 84.8kg and today I’m at 85.6kg a 0.8kg increase. I’m really pleased with that, especially since I reduced my test from 200mg/week to 150mg/week at the start, which likely meant I was holding a bit more water then. So realistically it looks like about 1kg of muscle gain over the comp, which I’m very happy with. Honestly, once I knew I was out of the running due to injury, I was more worried about losing weight, so to finish up stronger is a big win for me.

Thanks again to everyone involved this has been an awesome experience!
