Approved Log My Competition Log 2025 - ChasetheCase

Weekend update, 5km walk and 2.5km run with the kids, foot is pretty uncomfotable today, guess this is the beginning of the end for my running. Well that is at least until stem cell therapy can solve it and regrow cartiledge, good to know that there is evidence of this working in trials at the moment. Hopefully we'll have access within 5 years.

As for gym today it was a no go, adjusting the chain on my bike I discovered when tightening the axle nut that it was stripped. Need a new axle and lock nut as both stripped. Spent two hours phoning around trying to find one, have one ordered so will be the courier gods it gets here.

Will have to get some time tonight and train, will probably just squeeze in a bag session for something different.

Totally get it ... that unknown timeline messes with your head. But if you're ticking the boxes and staying consistent you’ll be surprised how quick it all comes back. Just keep showing up I say.
Yep really agree with this one, consistency has to be the most imporant aspect for training.

Always something simple that turns into a full mission. What bike do you have?

Totally, thought it'd be a 30 min job, when it rains it pours :D

It's an old 2017 MT09, was looking to upgrade a few years ago but couldn't decide between the Triumph Street Triple and a newer MT. Now can't afford it, should have just took the gamble. Don't have time for fun rides these days, just used for commuting.

120kg is still decent weight ... I wouldn't push yourself too much bro. Keep it nice and easy till you’re fully back in the swing of things.
Thanks @hubbles, I’ll stick with 120kg for now and focus on building reps before increasing the weight again. I tend to be pretty hard on myself in the gym even a small drop in numbers can feel like a massive setback, even when I know it’s not. Just trying to trust the process and keep consistent. Just feels like issue after issue at the moment, but good news is I'm maintaining my weight.

So just working on my NPP+Deca cycle and struggling to get levels consistent whilst keeping a simple migration from NPP to deca. What are your thoughts on the below? How important are consistent levels for Deca?

Weekly 300mg Test-E, 150mg NPP then moving to 200mg a week of Deca.
With 100mg a day of P5P ten days before and during cycle, tapering off with 50mg daily for 4 weeks post cycle.

Not sure frontloading with NPP has much benefits. My understanding is front loading is larger dose of Decca then tapering into the cycle.

If you did want to start NPP until decca level reach the desired range then run decca from the start and use NPP for the first three to four weeks. That was your essentially getting a Nor19 from first few days.

But tend to keep Nor19s out of my sports trt or blasts.

I was under the impression that a lower amount of NPP was the needed over the deca equivelent due to the lower ester weight allows for more release.

I wasn't worried so much about rushing on to the cycle, I more thought it would be better to start with NPP to see how I react and to give me time to manage sides if anything doesn't go to plan.

The only reason I'm using the NPP longer than needed for front loading, really is to just use up the vial, also giving me a bit more time to see how I react.

@Dunstone Why do you not favor Nor19s?

Nor19s can trigger anxiety if you prone to it, I take Http-5 to help with maintaining my serotonin levels. I'm a test and DHT-based cycles, if a Nor19 is being used like I am currently it very conservative dose, tren for me has a low level of cognitive ****ery! I use them but sparingly.

Ah ok, I've heard about the mental sides, I'm hoping I don't come across them. I'd love the DHT route, but I want to keep my hair another few years. If I took Mast or Tren I'd have a bald patch the side of an omlette in a few weeks.

  • Breakfast, immediately after waking 30g of whey protein.
Smoothie, two bananas, 50g oats, 30g nuts, 200g high protein yoghurt, 250g milk.
  • Lunch, at work generally a premade muscle meals pack, at home try and have the day before's dinner.
  • Dinner, nothing specific.
If I'm not going to get enough protein in one of my meals I'll just add an additional whey protein shake.

Training Schedule: (days per week, types of workouts)
Mon, Wed, Fri weight training
and aim for twice a week BJJ and Muay Thai

Goal for the Competition:
Well my overall goal is 90kg and ~10% body fat. Will need to reasses this as due to life and injury has caused me to drop the ball and my next few weeks I'm going to struggle with limited training due to shoulder injury. But I'm still going to give this ago. Worst case I'll have some good quads!

Health Status (mention any medical conditions or injuries):
Partially dislocated my shoulder in BJJ, torn soft tissue.

** Having bloods and DXA next week. So will update with that and photos.
Looks like you've you've been up against it with injuries and kept battling. Very impressive, good luck with the rest of the comp!

Thanks, yeah it's been a constant battle. Guess it's just my age, and with addition of the sports I do makes it much more likely I'll get injured. Just got to get used to it and stop moaning, problem is I still feel like I'm 30.

haha, yep the body doesn't bend like it used to. The one good thing I found with injuries is the forced adaptation of certain movements and an improved connection with the muscle. Gotta find a silver lining in there somewhere I suppose 😂
