How you finding the EQ?
I'm a big fan of EQ. Test derivatives seem to agree with me. In past EQ cycles towards the end had slightly elevated bp and slight blood thickening but remedied with a blood donation.

Week 1-4 of current cycle, ran EQ with DBol which gave great vascularity from the EQ combined with the bubble look from the DBol. As I'm running with reasonably low bodyfat, I had minimal water retention and E2 sides. Killer combo for me.

Yesterdays leg workout 25/07/25

Notes: We got a whole heap of new equipment at my local. Added the new pendulum machine in the mix yesterday. First time using one. Used low narrow foot placement to focus on the outer sweep. Heavy machine....after hack squats could only manage 2 plates. Quads are feeling it this morning with a slightly different movement pattern, let's hope that equates to growth 😃

Grinded an extra rep on first working set of leg extensions and hack squat. Punishing workout. Next leg day will be more ham focused.

Hotel gym they said! I suppose I shouldn't be complaining, they could've only had cardio machines. No commercial gyms with staffed hours on Sundays in Christchurch, so did a full upper body hotel workout. Max dumbbells were 20kgs so focused on slow eccentric to make it feel heavier. Ended up lots of reps, 60 seconds between sets. Will be back to a kitted out gym tomorrow for a push day.

Have been working on a detailed plan for the next 8 months in the lead up to April 2026 comp, including training phase duration (bulk/off season, health, prep), weight gain/loss per week (phase dependent) planned daily calories (macro split), and planned ped use (compounds, dosages) @ozsteroids . Has given me focus on exactly what I need to be doing on a daily/weekly/monthly level, as well as small targets to hit. Obviously plans may need to be changed depending on results (weight, body fat, measurements, bloods) but will be a good guideline.

This is the plan for the lead up to April 2026.

"Plan" being the key word. Adjustments will be made as needed. I am still deciding exactly what additional compounds (Mast or Tren, have had sides from both) and fat burners will be used in the tail end of prep. Nothing too crazy. I may remove the Var and add in some higher dose Anadrol in the last few weeks prior to peak weak to maintain fullness and strength. Still plenty of time to ponder!

Shoutout to @ozsteroids for sponsorship

Your overall plan’s looking on point, but a couple things I’d keep an eye on from experience. Running 700 Test and 420 EQ for an extended off season will def boost strength and appetite, but don’t ignore bloods. EQ especially can send hematocrit through the roof so get checked every 6 to 8 weeks, not just at the start. When you shift into prep and bring in orals like Var + Winny together, that's a double hit on the liver. Either split them across different phases or back one off unless you’re running proper support like TUDCA or NAC. Also noticed your proteins pretty high. Nothing wrong with 2.5–3g/kg for enhanced athletes, but when calories get low later in prep, you might be better off dropping it slightly and increasing carbs for training performance, unless hunger becomes an issue. Also if you’re dipping below 2300 cals and going flat, chuck in a high carb day every 7-10 days, doesn’t need to be dirty, just enough to refill glycogen and keep output up. Keen to see how this plays out for you. Very well thought out.

Great advice @ironguru Will be keeping a thorough eye on bloods and responding accordingly. I'm not afraid to bring in a health phase earlier than planned to maintain healthy markers. I want to be in a solid position health wise entering prep. I do blood pressure daily (every few days if busy) and am due for next set of bloods on 14th August. I am feeling my hermatocrit will still be in range at this point and will keep blood donation up my sleeve for later/when needed.
Am running TUDCA and NAC currently and will maintain throughout off season/prep but will be careful with overdoing orals in prep. As with most my AST and ALT cop a flogging with orals and were slightly elevated 4 weeks ago (had just come off a dbol kick start). Will likely split orals for different phases in prep as apposed to doubling up and not go too overboard.
I really like your advice on lowering protein/increasing carbs as total cals drop in prep, as well as including a intemittent high carb days. Will be looking to implement that. Thanks!

I also like the plan Fletch. Couple of thoughts to throw in the mix...

If ALT/AST were already creeping up post Dbol, I’d probably be cautious with the idea of even light oral rotations in prep, especially if you're stacking with high stim output and reduced food. You might be able to get more bang from lower stress compounds or shorter blasts rather than dragging orals out. Have you considered something like injectable Winny for a cosmetic push later?

Also good call on not jumping to donate blood unless you need to... I've seen guys react to numbers and end up chasing stability too aggressively. If your BP stays in check and no symptoms creep in... probably no need to pull the trigger prematurely?

Thanks @hubbles Super smart idea with limiting orals during prep when the body is already under significant stress. I have never run injectable Winny. In the past I have had increased sides from DHT's (large breakouts - have now been on low dose accutane for 6 months which has cleared everything up - another reason my ALT/AST levels where high after dbol kickstart) The idea of PIP from water based suspensions has also kept me cautious, but am not opposed to giving it a run. My thought would be that my sebum production has lowered to the point where low/moderate dose DHT's should not be a problem anymore. Another point to add is that I will have finished my acctuane course by prep time so my liver will be working less. Always a lot to consider 😁

Have you had success with injectable Winny in the past?

I agree with your thought on blood thickness. Leading up to an increased hermatocrit from a previous cycle, my blood pressure increased well into the 150/90 range and I felt flushed constantly. I will be using these signs as an early indicator but if my levels have sky rocketed after my next bloods will take action but will sit on it for the minute as they were well within range 4 weeks ago.

Did you get much water retention with the Dbols, especially around the face?
@ironguru I tend to get minimal sides from running higher E2 levels, so had minimal water retention on Dbol, even face. Perhaps, as I was running EQ it kept E2 levels somewhat in check, but even with levels at 240-260 pmol/L, I don't get any water retention or nipple sensitivity. It may also be that my bodyfat % is lowish so the E2 conversion is low. I did bloods a few weeks post Dbol and E2 was sitting at 112 pmol/L, but I'm guessing there was a heavy rebound effect involved.

I’ve run Winny a few times... mainly towards the back end of prep and short 4 to 6 week blasts. Always got that chiselled look from it, especially when I was already lean.Had to pin daily and definitely copped some PIP from time to time. Nothing too crazy but never really stayed on it long enough for any major sides.

If you decide to go with it keep it at low dose like 50mg daily (y)

Your smashing it Fletch...

I read the comments about Dbols. I've never taken them only because I've always heard stories about the water retention. Looks like you were ok with it.

Hey @Skays Thanks bro, after a bit of refining, I seem to be in a sweet spot right now. Muscle is going on and fat around the mid section is staying mostly away so I'm happy!

Yeah, loved the Dbol, my feeling is if you are a low aromitiser or get minimal sides from higher E2...Dbol is for you 😁

Good to know @hubbles

Anything that will gives me that chiselled look is worth a bit of PIP. I pin daily even on lower doses so should be fine.

Thanks again!

Yesterdays push workout 1/08/25

Notes:
Landed at home mid afternoon after a day in transit. Was feeling pretty well rested so pretty much unpacked my bags, put on a load of washing, had a meal and then headed to the gym for a push workout.

I haven't hit flat barbell bench for a good few years but decided today was the day. I have walked past it a few times recently and thought about loading it up. The movement felt a bit wobbly, but got an insane pump so may look at adding it to the program for the next 6 weeks.

Finished a lot of final sets to failure today. It generally not the norm to this extent but was in the zone! Was a long one!

Flat barbell bench press
60kg x 6
80kg x 6
100kg x 6

Weighed in at 89.9kg fasted this morning. Happy with the progress considering I was travelling last week. The additional activity last week potentially accounted for less weight gain. Plan to add another 80g carb/ 30g protein shake in the mix during these higher activity weeks. I have 2 days in the home office this week, then on a family holiday to Bali for 8 nights. Will be tracking macros whilst away, have been using Cal AI to track which I have found to be mostly accurate. My work generally involves increased travel in winter months and locking in the home office throughout spring and summer. Works well for keeping a strict routine during the warmer months.

Have attached some food pics from the weekend.
