Upper Body

Testing the waters with some slightly different rep ranges and dialing in exercises for new program.

Looks like a lot on paper but the session only took bit over an hour including a couple warm up sets and 3min rest between working sets.

Weight is all over the place atm haha but looking a little leaner around the mid section.

Lower Body

First lower body sesh for the year and for nearly 2 months, so I was nervous to be honest.

Mix on exercises, rep ranges and order was surprisingly good. Will be implementing and maintain these into new program/cycle I reckon.

Was unsure where my strength would be at so had to do a couple feeler sets before confidently picking working weights.

Was surprised with some, both pleasantly and ashamed haha.

Push Day

New program starting today. So far so good I really enjoyed the mix of exercises and the slightly increased volume.

Feeling stronger. Playing around with nutrient timing and trying to focus on majority of carbs around my training.

A lot of people feel better performance wise when most carbs are around training. As long as your daily intake is where it needs to be, timing just helps fine tune things rather than being the main driver. Just something to consider.

Yeah bro I’d always read about it, but never implemented it.
Even after just a couple of sessions it’s made a noticeable difference hey.

Pull Day!

Had a strong pull today. Testing out the new program and again I was pleasantly surprised.

I would probably look to swap out the face pull for a rack pull. Rack Pull would be first exercise 6-8 reps I reckon. Something I’ll keep in mind as I get closer to cycle time.

Rack pulls will let you move more weight and build thickness. Just worth keeping some rear delt work in there for balance.

Loving the new program tbh. Just a solid mix of exercises and the body seems to be enjoying the slight added volume. Still keeping rest times to 3min between working sets.

Thought I’d try out some overnight oats. I was surprised it was fkn amazing 🤩
60g oats, 30g whey, 100g Greek Yoghurt, 5g Chia seeds, 80g frozen blueberries and some sugar free maple! So good!!

Some slight progression on last sesh which is positive. Not on all lifts but nothing went backwards at least.

Lower Body Day

Posting this on Sunday and legs are still sore AF 😅 Definitely feeling reduced recovery time due to lack of regular leg training.

Got no one to blame but myself I guess haha!

Overall had a solid session. Had to cut it a little short due to some family commitments but the meat of the workout was completed.

Overnight oats are the best. Cheap, easy and you can prep a few days at once. I’ve used them heaps when calories need to stay clean.

Upper Body

Stuck to my guns over the weekend despite everyone else in the household eating delicious foods 😂 Jumped on scales this morning and we’re still moving in the right direction.

I was originally hoping to start new cycle end of the month, however I don’t think I will be lean enough by then, and I’m determined to really make the most out of this next one. So, I will play it by ear and see how things (and condition) are looking in a few weeks.

Fkn nailed this COR texture! Just feels a lot more satisfying eating this sorta baked texture rather than liquid mousse style. Didn’t do anything different just microwaved a bit longer.

Had a really good session. The addition and timing of the dedicated PWO meal is definitely yielding benefits.

Lower Body

Little bit of movement with this mornings weigh in. Moving in the right direction 👊🏼

Hadn’t fully recovered from my previous lower body day, but trying to align training days with a new schedule so I just had to power through it.

It became apparent that I had not fully recovered. While my first couple of lifts showed some marginal improvement, I was pretty well smoked 3/4 way through and tapped out.

On top of that people fkn kept talking to me , gave me the shits and I lost some momentum. I like to stick to my rest times and keep moving so this threw me off as well.

Hoping to squeeze in a catch up sesh tomorrow to make up for what was missed today. Normally a rest day but YOLO gotta be done!✅

Thought I’d try the delt for a change. Was smooth and pain free, but the new pin size was far too high. 30g, took fkn ages to send it down range but got there eventually. Will probs change it back to 26g or thereabouts..
