Upper Body

Testing the waters with some slightly different rep ranges and dialing in exercises for new program.

Looks like a lot on paper but the session only took bit over an hour including a couple warm up sets and 3min rest between working sets.

Weight is all over the place atm haha but looking a little leaner around the mid section.

Lower Body

First lower body sesh for the year and for nearly 2 months, so I was nervous to be honest.

Mix on exercises, rep ranges and order was surprisingly good. Will be implementing and maintain these into new program/cycle I reckon.

Was unsure where my strength would be at so had to do a couple feeler sets before confidently picking working weights.

Was surprised with some, both pleasantly and ashamed haha.

Push Day

New program starting today. So far so good I really enjoyed the mix of exercises and the slightly increased volume.

Feeling stronger. Playing around with nutrient timing and trying to focus on majority of carbs around my training.

A lot of people feel better performance wise when most carbs are around training. As long as your daily intake is where it needs to be, timing just helps fine tune things rather than being the main driver. Just something to consider.

Yeah bro I’d always read about it, but never implemented it.
Even after just a couple of sessions it’s made a noticeable difference hey.

Pull Day!

Had a strong pull today. Testing out the new program and again I was pleasantly surprised.

I would probably look to swap out the face pull for a rack pull. Rack Pull would be first exercise 6-8 reps I reckon. Something I’ll keep in mind as I get closer to cycle time.
