8 Week Comp - CBH

Camping is amazing, I’m not talking your caravan parks, I’m talking remote, off grid, no one else around and self sufficient type of camping.

The HIIT work out on Friday afternoon on the beach wasn’t too bad but went for a 5km beach walk yesterday instead of calisthenics, plus a couple of shorter walks just to wear the dogs out.

The good thing about camping is the meals are all preplanned so lots of protein, the bad thing is the clean meals are supplemented with beers. But worth it.

Got home and washed the van, and that’s me for the manual labour this week. Back in the gym tomorrow morning.

I pinned my Reta today at 2mg, so far my pins have been every 6 days and slowly working, I will see next week how I feel but most likely stay at 2mg and go to 7 days.

I also thought while I was stabbing myself to go 15 hours early for my Test-e pin as well. Can anyone see any issues with going early? I was thinking because it’s long acting it wouldn’t have any detrimental effects. Yes I know, a bit cowboy of me bet hey 🤷‍♂️ IMG_1296.jpegIMG_1297.jpeg

Back home, started the day with a great shoulder workout, fully energised for gardening for the rest of the day, didn’t realise the hedge trimmer was so heavy 😂 💪

Serious question, does anyone else get really sore/tender at the injection site for test-e? The last few injections have been really sore for about 3 days after injections. I have tried changing sites but still really sore, no bruises but feels like there should be. I’ve tried glutes and inner thighs.

Anyway, here’s this mornings workout, I will post today’s macros tomorrow.

Wednesday is usually my rest day, but I’ve been enjoying doing something small so I can log it as I’m also really enjoying this Logging, it’s great accountability so just a quick one before work:

Warmup
Full Push-up then Scap push-up x10

Seated cable rows 3 sets at 50kg

Wide grip lat pull down 3 sets at 50kg
(They let me know they were still there after the dead’s from yesterday)

Smith machine shrugs
6x 60kg (body definitely said nope)

Single arm cable bicep curl 10kg
Cable tricep push down 30kg

Now for today’s macros. Yep, I’m definitely in the sweet spot for my Reta.

I made the mistake of eating carbs before protein at lunch and filled up on rice, worst part is I should have known better. This threw out my macros, however a total intake 1000cals short of my deficit goal and still cracking over 100g of protein is a win in my books.

Couple things to look at is rotate sites ... glutes, quads, delts and keep injections slow and controlled. I've never done inner thigh.. its not a standard site. Imo the inner thigh is more sensitive and prone to issues. If there’s no redness or swelling could just be mild pip. Could happen with some oils.
 
I think I have found my sweet spot with the Reta.
Yeah nice bro that’s what you want with Reta. Find the lowest dose that’s doing the job and just sit there. It does tend to plateau over time so no point chasing higher doses too early. Ride that sweet spot as long as it’s working then only adjust if progress actually stalls.
 
No gym today, was a rest day but nearly went to my home gym out of boredom, then I got distracted.

Anyway today’s macros are not totally accurate as I had a few beers I didn’t log.

Still lower cals and on the money with the percentages, and feeling bloated.

This is 100% exactly what it feels like. I was using my glutes and swapping sides each week. May try my quads tomorrow and maybe use two pins to spread it out.

Had my 23rd wedding anniversary on the weekend so there was a few beers and red wines over Saturday and Sunday. Went out for an anniversary dinner on Saturday night, I was that bloated BEFORE dinner I thought I was going to vomit. Managed some salmon and chocolate moose to keep up appearances, but **** me, I know now not to overdo it at lunch. Need a whole new approach to meals.

Reta is obviously working well.
Test-e I think I am feeling overall stronger and bigger.

My supps are also ticking along nicely, double scooping my gold standard Whey is a big help to keep full and the macros on par.
BCAAs are a standard hydration drink now and ensures I’m drinking over 2lt a day
I’ve finally found a creatine that’s not gritty and dissolves easily
Unfortunately I bought the wrong pre workout last time so I’m stuck with one that tastes like dish soap.

Anyway, for today’s macros, had a quiche for dinner, and the pastry always puts me over with the fats but protein is still good.
