Hey Team
I would be interested to know how many training sessions you all do per week and how long they go for.

I am currently doing 6 x 1.5 hours sessions per week with a stretch session thrown in 1 day a week as well. I find the older I get the body feels it more and more, if it wasn't for what I was also taking to help my situation I am.sure recovery would be much worse.

What's everybody's thoughts here?

I set my goal of a min 3 training days per week and hit my step goal 7 days per week when I first started.

Now I still have a min 3 day per week but sort of just add extra days as i feel and as time allows.

Last week was 4 days this week i got 6

Sunday is always my rest day and family day

I do 5 days a week, hitting between 40 and 50 minutes each. I would like to do more but don't really know where I'd find the time. I just make sure I'm getting my heavy 12 sets a week for each muscle group.

I'm only doing three weight sessions a week, they're generally around 1:20-1:30 long. I'd really like to try and fit in four, but don't have the mental strength at the moment to work everything around. I'm curious how much growth I can really get from only three sessions. I guess 3x full body body workouts would probably work better than what I'm doing, but not sure I can do such similar workouts all the time.

Mate to be honest you are going to the gym and smashing it, mental strength comes with time and whatever else you have going on in life.
From what I have read you can get so.e serious growth with just 3 days a week, keep it going brother we go you.

Hey mate, I am 58 and now that my kids are adults I have a lot more time on my hands.

I now do a push / pull / legs routine .... 6 x 45 minute to 1 hour sessions per week, but different exercises for the second weekly session.

I hear you about the age thing, so everything is done on machines or cables except for RDL's and shrugs which are barbell. Rep ranges 8 - 12 with 1 - 2 RIR....maybe to failure on the last set of an exercise if I feel up to it.

Pushing
Session 1. Flat press / shoulder press / dips / machine ab crunch
Session 2. Incline press / side cable flyes / overhead tricep cable extension

Pulling
Session 1. Pulldowns / rear delt cable flyes / cable bicep curls
Session 2. T bar rows / rhomboid - rear delt machine flyes / barbell shrugs

Legs
Session 1. Hack squats / RDL's / standing calf
Session 2. Leg extensions / seated hamstring curl / roman chair leg raises

Works very well for me.

Cheers
