Log for Monday 5th May (Upper Body)

Jumped on the scales faster this morning. Weight is still slowly dropping even though calories have remained the same the past few weeks (and probably a few too many chest meals if I’m being honest)..

Went into the gym feeling pretty good! Surprisingly I’ve retained all my strength since hopping off cycle. Training intensity has been the same throughout.

Lowered the weight a little on the incline DB to ensure form was good, tbh probably could have hit the 50’s like previously..

Achieved a decent pump. Have been focussing more on my back movements lately trying to refine exercise selection, and appears to be working 🤌🏼

Log for Tuesday 6th May (Arms)

Typically this would have been a Lower Body day. Been powering through a niggling little injury/pain from training legs last week (feels like it’s in the sciatic) so I’m just resting it up before I can hit it again 100% and Not cause myself any further mischief.. 🫣

Nonetheless had a decent arm sesh. Hit some abs at the end of the sesh too but forgot to log them.

Trying to stay as lean as possible whilst gaining some new lean tissue with a small calorie surplus
Definitely doable in the right setup. Especially if your training, diet and recovery are all under control. Just worth keeping in mind that even with a small surplus, a bit of fat gain can happen alongside the muscle.

Log for Thursday 8th May

2nd Upper Body day for the week. Being more consistent with exercise selection so that I better monitor progress and track progressive overload.

Strength still holding strong. Macros remain the same for the time being
 
Log for Friday 9th May

Typically today would be 2nd Lower Body day. Coming off the back of a niggling injury from last week I decided to allow the legs to recover for a few extra days just in case, despite them feeling good and pain free (no I’m not just avoiding leg day haha).

So I banged out a decent arm session instead. Short workout, still keeping intensity high and volume reasonable without going stupid on 1000 reps etc. I do enjoy hitting biceps and triceps together for the visual fullness of the arms that is achieved.

I did throw in the odd little drop set here n there but didn’t bother trying to track it and it really served no other purpose than to pump a bit more blood in there 😈
 
Log for Friday 9th May

Log for Monday 12th May - Upper Body

Given the amount of food I consumed at my daughters bday party over the weekend, I was not surprised to see weight had gone up a little on previous week lol. No regrets 🤣

Only 500gbuo from last week so nothing to worry about imo, and I was mentally prepared for it haha.

Had a really good session, felt strong and focussed. I’ve also been really enjoying the single arm lat pulldowns, actually feeling it more in the lats than I have with any other exercise really so this will remain a staple exercise.

1st pin of the week using Test E @ 125mg from @gearmaniac101 🤌🏼

Slowly accruing my stack to kickoff 1st June 🤘🏼
 
Log for Tuesday 13th (Arms + Lower Body)

It had been a bit over a week since I last trained lower body so I was bit nervous going into this session haha.

I’ve now added biceps + triceps to my Lower Body day as I found it was making my Upper sessions go too long and I was farkked by the end of them.

Probably a few more sets than I would have liked, but was a different gym and had to gauge how my strength was. All in all was a solid session, pumped me 🥵
 
Log for today 15th May (Upper)

Had a busy day at work and an even busier arvo running around town with kids etc before I could hit the gym. So ended up not having as much time as I would have like but still had a decent sesh nonetheless.

Tried this new pre today. Fkn rattled me after running a non-stim for so long 😂 Was good but!

Picked up a few more vitamins etc today to support next cycle during comp. Getting close 🫣
 
Pretty much 2 working sets on everything as per usual. Still progressing, still enjoying it. Sometimes throw the odd drop set in here n there but majority of time I stick to the plan!
2 sets per movement works if you push them hard and train smart. Not everyone needs 5 sets of everything to grow.
 
Final Log for the this week

Bit of a short one from me. Unfortunately due to working away this weekend I missed a training day which is frustrating but it is what it is..

Whilst my work over the weekend has been physical, my main concern was not to blow out too much with the pub feeds and beers etc that typically come along with working away and not having access to cooking facilities (besides a microwave).

I prepped a few meals to bring with me as well as some extra food for lunches etc.

So far so good, haven’t gone silly and stuck to my macros as best as possible. Had to improvise a bit but I’m not concerned.

Until I start the challenge I have been a little bit more relaxed with my diet, just enjoying the good foods lol until it’s go time..

Missing a session happens bro, the fact you prepped meals and stayed close to your macros is a win.
 
Log for today 20th May (Upper)

So after working away for the last 4 days, eating pub feeds and drinking beers (in moderation) I was so so happy to be back home to try and restore some bloody order about things.

We’re currently getting smashed with rain and flooding here atm so I was quite lucky to be able to get home. Not gym related but added a few pics below for anyone interested… 👇🏼👇🏼
