Diet fatigue

Short question. How do people recover from diet fatigue?
I've been on and off watching my food intake and counting my calories for the last couple of years with various times of success and failure.
Currently been pretty locked in and making slow but good progress, 528 day streak for logging my calories, most of which has been at a slight deficit/maintenance.
Lately though, the willpower has been real weak and I'm really feeling the diet fatigue.
Not sure exactly how I should loosen the rules and restrictions a little bit to have a break and build the willpower back, without going backwards? I'm on the way to my goal but I've still got some ways to go ahead and I would hate to go backwards after making so much progress.

528 day streak, that's crazy discipline. Looking at your breakdown you been running protein high and carbs pretty low for a long time and I'd say that alone will **** your head and body. Easiest fix for diet fatigue is bump carbs up for a bit and ease back slightly on protein and fats. Even going up to maintenance for 2 weeks with more carbs will refill glycogen and reset hormones without messing you up. I would'nt be scared of a diet break cause you proven that you can be disciplined.

@BigAPE is on the money there but I also reckon sometimes it’s not even about food man..it’s about mental reset. Switch up the foods you eat if you can like different flavours, different meals. New meals = new motivation ;)
