Test or Test plus Deca

Hi all,
Was wondering of anyone knows what would achieve more muscle growth between these two.

1. 600mg Test per week only

2. 400mg test plus 200mg deca, per week

Both cycles same length, given the person has never had deca before and only ever had lower dose of test. Purely looking at it from a muscle growth perspective only.

Im asking for a friend. He is around 6ft, 89kg , 13 percent body fat. He was not on super low dose , he is on 250mg test per week. Age 41.
 
I’d go with 400mg Test and 200mg Deca. That’s sufficient and you’ll still grow.

600mg Test is over the top, especially if your mate’s only been on 250mg before. Yes, he could possibly blow up faster, but a lot of it could be water and bloat, not clean gains. Higher Test usually means more sides.

Diet’s the real game changer. Doesn’t matter what he’s running, if he’s not eating in a proper surplus with enough protein and carbs, the results will be average. The gear just helps you grow faster if your food and training are on point.

100% agree with Hubbles. Just make sure your mate runs it long enough. Deca needs time to shine so 12 weeks is a minimum. Food is king. If he’s not pushing a consistent surplus with enough carbs and clean fats, he’s just spinning his wheels no matter what he’s pinning.
