There's been a lot of talk about AussieScripts recently and no one really knew what the panel consisted of as the site is lacking detailed infomation.
It's a $35 TRT blood panel https://aussiescripts.com.au/patient/pathology/consultation/trt-monitoring-blood-test
I'm pleased to say that they test everything RoidSafe tests and more.
On top of the RoidSafe tests they also test for:
Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate, Urea, Magnesium, C Reactive Protein (High Sens), Glucose Random, Prolactin (Total)
(I must add that I'd like to see someone elses results for Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate and Urea. The reason for this is that I've recieved this information before from my RoidSafe referal, I spoke with RoidSafe about it when it was missing and they say sometimes the pathology lab send it over essentially by accident or due to different process in busy periods).
The actual request script from AussieScripts requests in addition: Magnesium, C Reactive Protein (High Sens), Glucose Random, Prolactin (Total).
Pathology required from AussieScripts:
[ Symptomatic Male Hypogonadism Assessment RX: Free and Total Testosterone, E2 (Oestradiol), SHBG, Liver Function (LFT), Kidney Function (UEC), Magnesium, Cholesterol Panel (Chol/Triglycerides/HDL/LDL), Glucose, High Sensitivity CRP, Full Blood Count, FSH, LH, Prolactin ]
Pathology required from RoidSafe:
FSH; LH; Free & Total Testosterone; E2 (Estrodiol); Cholesterol Triglycerides; HDL & LDL Cholesterol; Hb; Hct; PCV;
Creatinine; LFT
Process:
I completed the online form for AussieScripts, paid, then received the referral about 15 minutes later. The referral is PBS so nothing to pay and can use any pathology lab. I tested at 0945 on Monday (missed the 0930 pickup so got the after lunch pickup), recieved the results 1530 the next day.
I did get a message with my emailed results:
The Doctor's message:
We have received your test results and they do require a follow-up consultation. Please book a consultation via https://aussiescripts.com.au/patient/telehealth/consultation/follow-up to discuss these results further with the doctor.
Had a few things in red so guess he wanted to talk through them. Not going to follow up.
Will update post if Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate and Urea isn't always included.
