Old bloke getting back into it

G'day lads,
Bit of a random one. I'm 45, haven’t trained properly in yonks, but finally pulled the trigger and joined Anytime Fitness. Bit of a dad bod situation goin’ on (got the gut to prove it) and I'm dead keen to turn things around.

I’ve been thinking instead of doing the usual splits (chest one day, legs another, yadda yadda), would it make sense to just train everything each session? Like hit chest, back, legs, arms, shoulders in one go 3 to 4 times a week?

I’m not trying to be Mr. Olympia here, just wanna lose some fat, build a bit of muscle and feel like a bloke again when I look in the mirror.

Would love to hear from anyone who's tried this style of training. Does it work, or am I better off sticking to the usual splits? Any tips, routines or motivation would be bloody appreciated. Still learning my way around the gym again but fired up to make this stick.

Cheers in advance boys 🍻
