Estrogen levels on TRT

1st time on TRT and my Oestradiol came in at 186 pmol/L, above the 150 range on my test sheet. Is this normally considered high and what do people do about it? No real symptoms, maybe a bit of tiredness, but still getting good results.

I’d just finished a 12 week cycle of 250mg. Taking Dr prescribed TRT and topping up, so I cycled off to get T within range before the bloods. They said to do another test in 8 weeks and if it’s still high they’ll add a blocker.

I’m 48M.
 
An Oestradiol level of 186 pmol/L is a little high, but not unusual for those on TRT. Since you’re not having major symptoms other than some tiredness.. that’s a good sign. Your doctor’s advice to retest in 8 weeks is good. If your levels are still high you might get prescribed an ai to lower it. Until then just keep an eye on how you feel and stay consistent with your TRT doses, the consistency of TRT will help maintain stable hormone levels, which can minimise issues.

You should be good without “topping up “. DIM , Grape seed extract and other natural herbs seem to help. My levels came back lower than expected after losing some BF and Daily supplements ( 3 months). Easiest to lower test dose or add a little Masteron or Primobolan if you do another sports trt. Body fat and age don’t help- never had issues until my 50’s
 
Just restarting my thread seeking some further advice.

Did another 12 weeks on 250mg per week (split in 2). Been getting great results but Oestradiol still high. Sat at 250 and after 4 weeks off was still 210. I have no symptoms or other blood issues, feel great, no tiredness anymore. Couple of questions:

1. Are there any inherent health problems with Estrogen levels that high so I should be seeking to reduce even without symptoms?

2. What is the usually cycle ratio of on/off for sports TRT cycles like mine?

48M. Also, I stopped with the Dr prescribed as just couldn’t get me testosterone down to plausible levels after this cycle.

Sports cycles are often followed with a break or a trt cruise for 3-4 months. If your test levels are above range during that time you are not completely off cycle( or doing trt).That would also explain your high E2. For trt both E2 and test levels should be back into range . Check the half life and residency time of compounds.Many take over a month to clear. For example sustenon is often prescribed every 3 weeks for trt so levels stay in range over the years. Very different to a cycle where you want them above range & building gradually. Non aromatising compounds or AI are also utilised with cycle design, not just more test.
 
Thanks Doc. Think I may have got a bit mixed up using “sports” and “cruise” interchangeably. If I’m understanding properly, “sports” is a cycle around the levels I’ve been taking, ie 250mg per week. “Cruise” is testosterone and E2 within range, so only topping up T if deficient.

End of this sports cycle think I stay off for 6 weeks before I test then try and keep it in range for another 6 before another cycle. Even after 4 weeks off this time free test was still 900.

250 -300 per week is sports.

Cruise/ trt is closer to 100-200 (high end) most people on tet are on about 150mg per week.

Sounds like a better plan. Exact doses will vary tremendously but it’s a good idea to stay within range for a few months ( endocrine system & blood work should stabilise & reset ). I managed to do this for 15 years without PTC or TrT - shorter sports cycles and longer complete breaks as I got older.
