Short but interesting article. Peptides just don’t make sense for big pharma when you look at thir economics, ~10 years and $2B to bring a drug to market! Obv that can only work if they can patent it. Most peptides are hard to patent, already patenteed or easy to copy, so have already lost exclusivity. When anyone can replicate or compound it cheaper, the upside just isn’t there to justify the risk and cost.
Wonder with the FDA green lighting many peptides, if we'll get government support anywhere for actual safety testing.
