New here, be kind

Hi guys and girls,
I’m fairly new here, been looking around and trying to figure things out, especially how this works. Not even sure if this is going in the right place.

About me, I’m 49 years old, 50 in June, been going to the gym for about 15 years, not a huge fan of cardio. Yes I’m old as dirt.

178cm tall (or 5’10”)

My weight is like a yo-yo, constantly up and down. I had a back injury about 25 years ago and it flares up when I put it on and feels great when the weight is off. I’m currently sitting at 103kg after peaking at 114kg 12 months ago.

I have used all the weight loss drugs from diromine, ozempic, munjaro, saxsenda etc. I have a sweet tooth and find it really difficult to strictly count my macros. I know what I shouldn’t be eating and usually eat very clean with an emphasis on protein.

My goal is to lose my belly and get toned, I’m not interested in being ripped or jacked as I know it’s not realistic for me to maintain that.

I’ve only ever tried orals before (aside from weight loss prescriptions), so I’ve decided to go on Reta and adding Test-e after 2 weeks or once my appetite is gone and I start in a deficit.

I don’t know anything about bac water or how to use it, or even if I do need it.

My thoughts were:
Reta: start on .5ml or .75ml for 1 or 2 weeks then go to 1ml for 2 weeks then perhaps 1.5ml for 1 or 2 weeks and up the dose as required with weekly injections
Test-e: start around 2 or 2 1/2 weeks after Reta and thinking a .75ml dose twice a week which works out at 375mg per week for 10-12 weeks

I’m already taking protein (ON Gold), BCAAs (xtend) and Creatine (bsc) and vitamins incl fish oil, magnesium, collagen, L-Theanine and Ashwagandha

Any advice or recommendations welcome and appreciated, unfortunately I was ripped off recently to the tune of $780 so funds are tight

Welcome

Remeber everyone had a day 1 of their journey dont ever judge your day 1 to another's day 100

Diet and nutrition are more important than gear try eat whole single food ingredients make your diet easy to make and follow always keep your food available the day your meals arent available is the day you cheat on it

Keep your steps up these are amazing to loss BF and was my starting point when I started.

Small changes till they are habits are easier to stick to than a. Complete head on dive

We dont need perfect we need consistently average you will fail some times but regroup and restart dont let it snow ball

Remeber bloodwork - there is a forum code with RoidSafe for a discount to members

Get this done to know your levels

As for pharmaceutical- i use @gearmaniac101
And have never had issue

Respect for laying it all out. At 49 and 103kg, I wouldn’t be jumping straight into 375mg test just to lose your belly. Fat loss is still going to come from the calorie deficit, not the test. If you’re running Reta, focus on getting that working properly first and dial in consistency. Also doses are measured in mg, not mL and you’ll need to know the concentration before even thinking about bac water or pinning.

Personally I’d get bloodwork done, sort diet adherence and only consider test if you actually have low levels. Adding 375mg/week when the goal is just leaning out is more risk than reward at your age.

We’re all here to support each other, and it’s wonderful to see such kindness and community spirit.

I understand you've tried GLP-1s before. If controlling your appetite remains challenging on Sema or Terz, Reta might not provide the hunger suppression you're seeking, as its appetite-suppressing effects are less than half of those medications. While Reta offers many other benefits, if you've experienced GLP-1s, hunger suppression may be limited.

I also believe that aggressive titrating the GLP-1 dose alone could lead to side effects. The goal should be to find the lowest effective dose that helps you adhere to your diet, which is crucial.

Remember, diet plays a key role: a balanced intake of 1.5-2 mg/kg of protein for lean body weight, focusing on high-quality proteins first, along with healthy carbs and fats, will support your progress. Poor diet choices, especially high-fat processed carbs and inadequate can lead to muscle loss especially if you don't have resistance training.

For Sema, a starting dose of 250 mcg weekly for four weeks could be appropriate. If needed, adjust to 250 mcg twice weekly for four weeks, then three times weekly for another four weeks.

Regarding Reta, I have used doses in milligrams rather than mL: starting at 0.5-1 mg weekly for four weeks, then 1-2 mg weekly for four weeks, and if necessary, increasing to 3-4 mg. Clinical trials with doses of 4-8 mg have shown effective results.

For testosterone, a simple TRT is sufficient, with a recommended dose of 150-175 mg weekly. Be aware that higher adipose tissue may increase your E2 levels.

Combining TRT and Reta with a calorie deficit based on clean, nutritious calories, and slowly build your steps towards 10,000 a day and weight training 3-4 time a weeks can yield excellent results.

Stick to the sponsors here…. Don't donate your money to a random on the internet 😉. I use OZ steroids, good product low stress!

Sorry I probably wasn’t clear, I was on prescription for sema and munjaro and only stopped sema as couldn’t get it and munjaro is costing me over $700 for 6 weeks worth. Both worked amazing and suppressed really well, I lost lots of fat and stepped it up in the gym to avoid losing muscle, which worked great.
I do eat reasonably healthy, junk food and processed food is rare in my diet, sugar is my nemesis.

Now several have mentioned to use mg instead of ml (noob). When ordering, correct me if I’m wrong but Reta is 10mg vial but that’s 10mg per ml in a 10ml vial, same for test-e, it’s 250mg but that’s per ml in a 10ml vial?

Easier to talk mg’s so that it reduces confusion and allows more meaningful inputs.

No problems; you are now purchasing a compounded product that is not a banned GLP

The Reta will arrive in powdered form, and you will need to buy and add bacteriostatic water to reconstitute it. Typically, I would recommend using one or two mls of water for this process.

This will help. The goal with the GLP1 is not appetite suppression; it is diet compliance, with the aim of retaining as much muscle tissue as possible throughout the process.
