G'day guys!

Just a quick intro, I'm a 50 year old dad with a job and a pretty regular life. Divorced, couple of kids. Got a few hobbies and generally pretty active. I canoe on a regular basis with a club, train twice a week and now getting back onto the gym train! I want to pack on some mass and as the canoeing season is kicking off I want to be stronger and more conditioned for competition.

Previous to this my diet was ok, well.... and now I've cleaned it up. Back to whole foods, clean protein, clean carbs and my favourite...fats!! I'm not a big eater so it's hard for me to pack on weight but I know I'll have to eat more if that is my goal.

Just as an example I had a homemade burger patty, 3 fried whole eggs, piece of toast and a glass off milk. Oh and 5 fish oil caps.

Planning on having 4 regular meals a day, and see how it goes. I'm sure as I train more my body will get hungrier for food. I'll keep you posted.

As for training, I'm back on board doing 3-4 weight sessions a week. Being a middle aged old fart sometimes I can only manage 3 including canoeing and my construction work.
Training will be focused on mainly compounds for body parts with challenging but not hugely crazy weight. I used to annihilate my muscles but was completed rooted by the end of the week both physically and mentally. Burned out. So more balance approach now.

As for my PED's I'm currently on self prescribed and managed TRT, ranging between 125 - 250mg sustanon 250 and sometimes test E. I'll be cranking that up gradually to about 400mg, and adding some deca into the mix for an extra kick. As the season really kicks off I'll be switching to EQ for the endurance properties. Well that's plan anyway. Never used EQ or Deca but already have purchased.

Well that's basically it. I'll be doing this for 6 months. Photos will be coming soon. I would appreciate any comments, criticisms, advise, opinions on any aspect of my goals and log. This is my first time logging, it'll be a great experience and keep me accountable!

Cheers for reading

It's always the hardest to balance work, life and training, great effort.

Have you been doing bloodwork to check that the TRT you're running is keeping your levels steady?

I think bumping the test up to 400mg along with the extra Deca would be good. It should definitely give you some bulk and joint relief. Just need to make sure to have an AI and caber handy to manage any potential sides.

Best of luck with it.

I haven't used Gearmaniacs products before but I will be sure to in the future as he is sponsoring me here on this log. I will definitely share my experiences with you guys when the time comes.

Whats your cycle history like?

You have made a great start, but getting back into training can be challenging for us in the latter part of our training life. I would get your trt dialled in first with blood. You are probably in range, but it's nice to know. Depending on your goals, Deca nor19 is very watery, while strength gains are significant, not something I use anymore. Eq can be great, but it is a long-acting PED and cycles of up to 20wks generally common. Eq will increase your RBC, thus improving cardiovascular benefits. Will need to donate blood to keep RBC in check. You have invested in both PEDs and may be committed moving forward.

Personally, trt, plus a DHT primo/mast, and Anavar would be safer and give you some nice lean gains. A tidy diet and solid training with steps will have you primed with minimal sides and no AI’s needed.

All right fellas, here are some happy snaps I got the missus to do the other night. I know, I know....chicken legs...and I'm not sucking in my guts either! Hahaha.

Thanks for the info Dunstone, I'll start with the Deca soon and see how it goes, I like back to basics strategy as I'm new to this but also want to make sure I'm ok as I'm a middle aged old fart! I haven't considered orals before but have thought about Anavar, and even Dbol as a pre workout as many have touted but not sure given my age. What do you think?

Whats your cycle history like?
I've been mainly on trt mate, due to being a bit lethargic, unmotivated and my libiso dropped but now I'm on trt it's like I used to look at women and that's it, now it's like when I see a chick, I'll be like let's get jiggy wid it! Hahaha. So I normally gauge with my boners in the morning in that respects. But it has greatly improved my quality of life. I'm more motivated, more active, more drive and less "give a ****" mentality. It's been good. Having said that I am tempted now to push the envelope further and see if I can get into the realm of putting on some mass!!!

Yeah I have mate, my initial blood results were low to mid range test. Now it's in the higher range, but I feel so much better. My motivation and drive is much better, greater libido and more disciplined. My doc doesn't have much of a clue but it's certainly helping me. I also pay close attention to my organs and general health.

Never tried primo/mast. Heard great stories about them but not sure if it will apply to me. However, I'm happy to give it a go if it will help in any way and keep me healthy!

Dinner tonight,
Steak, salad and mixed veggies in the oven. Finish off tonight with some cornflakes...

Nice to hear, stay away from Dbol IMO it will make you strong, gain lots of water weight, and really raise your E2. Stick to Anavarnmaybe Stanazolol if you cholesterol is in check.

But honestly trt, diet, and steps with regular weights would be the best. 150mg test and 150 Mast is sports trt and very safe. I've got a log going for a trt only cut.

I think diet is key right now. You should plan out your meals and hit your daily cals. This combined with TRT, weights and cardio should you give you some good results. Food plays a massive role.

Breakfast this morning was a beef patty, 2 fried eggs, toast and a black coffee. Lunch was scrambled eggs with garlic chives, roast veggies and a salad. Finished off with a banana. I also drink about 2 litres of water a day. More updates to come

I'll be keen to check out your log mate. I have read on many occassions that Winstrol, even at low doses completely skews your cholesterol. I haven't personally used it as such, but given my age I'm quite cautious. Has this been the case with you or anyone reading this? I do like the properties and affects of Winstrol but not sure if it's worth the risk.

You’ve got a good point about Winstrol, I've also heard how it impacts cholesterol and it can mess with your lipids. I would consider options like Var and Primo. They’re generally milder on your cholesterol levels compared to Winstrol.

Just keep in mind that while they’re great for lean gains and strength but not the best choices if you want to pack on a serious size.

Ok guys, update.

Weight this morning is 83.5 kg.
Bfast was a ham, cheese, lettuce sandwich and black coffee.
Lunch was scrambled eggs with salad
Banana and mandarin.
Dinner was vegetarian pasta! Delish and a protein shake after workout.
Will finish off with cornflakes.

8 hour work day in construction and 12.7k steps in today.

Training tonight was a starter doing chest, triceps and shoulders. Working up to a 10 x 10 volume training style.

So today was

3 x 10 bench press

These were all working sets with warm ups before hand and plenty of stretching

Will work up to a 10 x 10 set/rep routine.
Also, will be rotating different exercises as I go but still all compounds.

Training 3 times a week. Upper/lower/upper body.
