How long can you store gear?

Hey boys, I've always had this burning question in my head... how much in advance can I buy my TRT/blast oils? I will be keeping them in the dark at room temperature. How long before they lose potency?

Years. If stored properly, easily 5 years.

How about an opened vial?

I would try to use any opened vials within 12 months. The more air that's in there, the quicker it will lose potency. The oil can also thicken when exposed to excess air for long periods of time.

Definitely store for at least 5 years if unopened and in a cool, dark place. My doctor gives me a 10ml/200mg/cc test cypionate every month, even though I'm only prescribed 150mg/week. According to my pharmacy, once you puncture the rubber stopper, it's only good for 4 weeks. Then you're supposed to toss out the rest of the oil and start a fresh vial. That's just so the pharmacy can sell more, but I'm sure most have used opened vials for many, many weeks. I have used 30ml bottles for months, never a problem. But will a properly stored vial lose potency after 5 years? Personally, I don't think so. And if it does, I think it would be only a few milligrams at most.

As long as the oil doesn't look like it went bad (changed colour, consistency, etc.), then you're probably good to go. The smart thing to do is to keep ordering regularly and rotate your stock.

I’ve had it crystallise before and had to warm it up. I always wondered if that affected shelf life.
