Newbie to the forums here, thanks for having me!
I see there are heaps of posts here with people discussing their first cycle plans and getting some solid feedback / advice / constructive criticism which is really encouraging, so I thought I would crawl out of my shell and attempt the same.

I'll just quickly lay out the detail and get straight into it:

About me:
***:
Male, Age: 43, Height: 183cm , Weight: 105 KG
BF%: ~25% (Visual estimation)
Activity level: Sedentary job (IT), Lift 4 x per week , no cardio (currently)
Current daily Macros: 1846 kcal , 221g Protien, 61g Fat, 101g Carbs

My first cycle plan:
Cycle
- 20 weeks - Test-E 250mg p/w (125mg every 3.5 days)
PCT - 6-8 weeks - Nolvadex 10mg ED - 6 - 8 Weeks (starting 14-18 days after last pin)

Context:
About 9 months ago, I decided to check back into life after battling alcoholism for 20 or so years. Not a drop since, and never again. Now its time to rebuild all the muscle I've lost. I spent the first few months after quitting alcohol getting my nutrition in order, which was a struggle as I had ground my metabolism to a halt. Once that was sorted I just did bodyweight exercises and a bit of cardio before getting back to the gym 3 times a week initially to break back in, now up to 4, but ready to push it some more.

This also isn't my first rodeo when it comes to fitness / lifting. Was always fit as a fiddle as a kid, as a young adult I was a drop-short (gunner / artillery) which was basically 6 straight years of lifting heavy shit for work, then going to the gym after it all at the end of the day. Since leaving the Army, fitness took a massive back seat, with a few veiled attempts to get back into it (all stifled by alcohol addiction).

In a nutshell, the plan I've come up with is based on going as safely / risk adverse as possible for my first cycle, based on the self research I've done over the last 6 or so months. I used to know a dude that was on 500mg p/w , but he was a long time user and I didn't know much outside of that. If what I've read is true 250mg p/w should be plenty for a first go, it will definitely be more testosterone than what's currently in my system.

From what I can gather, I'm thinking my biggest concern here is my current bf%. I've got no dramas waiting till I've dropped some more fat, but I am keen to do this cycle sooner rather than later. I feel like I'm at the tipping point where jumping on this cycle and incorporating cardio into the lifting schedule would facilitate some body recomp.

Do I look to be on the right path, or am I talking out of my ass :) ?

Hi mate
I’m sure you will get some really good feedback shortly.
As I’m NO expert
Ideally loosing more weight before starting is a good idea, but I understand that can be hard and you want to get the ball rolling. If you decide to jump on the test it will give you more motivation, stamina etc to work longer in the gym and exercise and that will help you loose some pounds,
Bit if anavar might help.
20 weeks seems long
Is always good to Make sure you have everything before you start
Probably need an AI.
Pct might need to be bigger
Again I’m NO expert

Didn’t realise I could not edit my post, but extra.
Get bloods done . Imedical are good and easy.
Use the sponsors , I’ve used gearmaniac was quick and easy.
I think your diet sounds ok.
Cheers, with a protein drink not alcohol

Thanks man, I'll check out iMedical for sure. I was looking at roidsafe but haven't delved too far into it yet. Would I be correct in saying its best to do bloods pre cycle -> mid cycle -> mid PCT -> post PCT ?
I've seen all the awesome feedback for the sponsors, got that part underway. Just want to make sure I've got the appropriate "have on hand" items in the order to deal with any sides if they flare up.
Diet wise I think I'm on point with it for right now in this point in time (dropped about 8 kilos with just the diet), but I'm really digging into where I need it to be to optimise the diet when on cycle.
Cheers, without the beers :)

Regarding bloods
Before cycle yes.
After pct yes.
Mid cycle, can’t hurt better to be safe than sorry , but you not doing crazy amounts of different stuff.
Mid pct again can’t hurt to see what’s happening
The mid cycle and mid pct could probably just get a simpler blood test not sure

I medical is easy probably do sports hormones test BB2 or 3 .

Yep diet looked good, diet is the hard part

Make sure you look into having an AI , if you haven’t already.
And probably up ing your pct, as it looks low

Someone else will give you a better idea on pct

Cheers

Sorry my browser cache was playing up so I missed this one.

I agree with the losing more weight part, more bf% looks to carry a higher risk in regards to sides like gyno, but on the other hand as you said, I feel getting the ball rolling with the cycle will assist with the body recomp.

Very interested in the Anavar as an extra, I was a bit skeptical at first about adding something else into the mix, but seeing others experience with it here on the forums it seems to have a good risk vs reward ratio. I am leaning more towards keeping things simple at this stage and leaving it out.

20 weeks did seem a bit high, was thinking in the 16 - 20 range, but my OCD rounded it up so it would equal 2 vials :)

AI is probably the one thing I need to read up way more on. Doesn't seem like an easy thing to balance (when to start , frequency, how much for my test dosage). Seems to be lots of varying opinions out there about it

Yeah
I would probably up the test to 400 but reduce to 12 to 16 weeks

As for estrogen management , your mid cycle bloods would show that but I think mainly if you feel any high estrogen sides that’s when you hit it with an AI, high estrogen helps until you get sides
There is a really good first cycle right up but it’s on another forum

Also got to think about blood pressure going up
And a host of other things
Just keep googling
