I've been seeing all this calisthenics content on youtube lately, some pretty crazy feats of strength , Like this pelican pushup:

Wondering if anyone here is into this ? I would love to see what your training schedule / routine looks like.

Not so much now-Injury risk & power/ weight ratio isn’t great as I approach 60. Body weight basic movements, explosive power & Pilates are a good start if you haven’t been trained in callisthenics

Yeah I think my age is going to hold me back doing anything crazy with it, but I have started on L-sit training and adding pull-ups in at the gym. Apparently planking is also a good start on the core strength

Ahaha I'm 40 and feel like I missed the boat on this. Way to many injuries for me.

Yeah I'm 43 so there is no way i would ever be able to do a pelican pushup or my arms would detach from my body haha. But maybe get to the point of a muscle up and maybe a planche, I think it might be achievable at our age (maybe) lol

Young Gymnastics competitors & Rock Jocks may be able to learn this - would be worse than cross fit for most of us 🤪
