I'm thinking about taking a full week off from the gym even though I'm on a cycle, I'm starting to feel burned out.... Do you guys take breaks, thoughts and opinions?

I always come back better after a good break. I take a week off a more than a few times a year. You body needs it, a good way to reset.

100% take that week off when you need it. You'll always come back fresh and no need to stop your cycle.

Better to take a break than end up with an injury.
Just like what happened to me. In May this year I just wasn't feeling it... and the gym was becoming a mission. I should've taken a break but just pushed through thinking I will ride it out, over exhausting my body. I ruptured a bicep tendon. Couldn't do much upper body work for about 8 weeks. Problem was I kept pushing, knowing I needed a break and didn't take one.

@venatorx take a break, better to loose a week than loosing 8+ weeks ;)

Taking time off is essential. Allows your body to fully recover and come back stronger. Your muscles, joints, and even your nervous system gets worn out. A good break helps repair any micro tears in your muscles, reduces inflammation, and prevents overtraining injuries. Plus it gives your mind a chance to reset, so you come back more motivated. I take regular breaks all the time for these reasons.

If you’re on cycle just go buy feel, keep the food up and if you wake up after two or three days feeling good then hit the gym. Main thing don’t stress.
