That sounds like what I used to do when I was getting TRT prescribed. My doctor would ask for bloodwork every 6 months (I used to get 6 month prescriptions). I had to take 250mg every 10 days, so I used to take 250mg every 5 days (double his prescription, with my own gear). When it came close to my bloodwork, I would cut back down to his original dosage levels 2 months before my actual blood test. This used to work for me.
Based on your situation, 1 week wouldn't be enough time to adjust your levels. I think reduce your dosage back to the original (150mg a week) about 3 to 4 weeks before your blood test. This will allow your hormone levels to stabilise to the desired levels. Honestly, even if your levels are slightly higher than the target, it may not make a significant difference to your doctor. Once you get your first test done you can then use those results to determine your timing for next time.
