Premium Supps - There Creatine

AhhYep

Registered
Have been using Creatine monohydrate 10grams per day for ages from Blackbelt Protein and it has always been good.

I recently purchased some Creatine from Premium Supps, this stuff makes me nauseated, gives me stomach cramps and tastes intensely bitter…it also is really grainy.

I believe Premium Supps are using fillers and/or binders in there creatine.

Around $30 a kilogram, am thinking you tend to get what you pay for.

Any reason for the change of brand? Quality can really vary between brands so sticking with what works is key. Most the time, you really do get what you pay for.

Premium Supps talk about how they DONT put fillers in.

its actually very common for people to have gut issues with pure creatine so it might have actually been the other way around.

Haha - I highly doubt myself my training partner and our gym owner are having these reactions due to “pure creatine”

I always leave bias at the front door, I see not all people can.

I remember many years back when creatine was the new kid on the block it was actually grainy and yes it could cause stomach upset

We think that’s a major part of it, insufficient micronising.

Their current batch definitely isn’t a fine powder like we are used to from other brands.

Personally, have used 20 grams a day during the loading phase with other brands and tolerated that perfectly fine.

I say shop around for another brand, when you find a good one then stick to that specific one
Agreed. Just ordered again from Blackbelt.

Found this review, it sounds a bit like our problem:

Micro fine it in the coffee/ herb grinder or blend it for longer. I switched to hcl and wouldn’t go back to monohydrate- didn’t like the consistent big doses
