Cycling on trt

Hey guys, i (26m) have been on trt for nearly a year now at 150mg/week and have taken my levels from 230 and feeling like shit to the high 700s and feeling fantastic, cut out alcohol completely, got my diet and training dialed in, have dropped 32kg in a year and gained significant muscle mass. I'm wanting to push the boundary a bit and thinking about running a 300mg cycle then a 500 cycle if my bloods are still within range.

Questions are:
Being that I'm on trt I shouldn't need to pct off right? Just drop back down to 150 at the end of the cycle?

How long would it take for my levels to return to normal? I get tested and reviewed every 6 months by my doctor and would like to not arouse suspicion as having the prescription is handy at the airport being a fifo worker.

I haven't had the need for any ai or hcg or anything at my trt levels, what compounds should i be keeping on hand in case of high e during cycle?

Thanks heaps boys

I'm on TRT through a clinic too so undertstand the 6 months bloods to get your test.

Honestly eeven if you were doing 500mg a week you coukd just not jab for 1 week and get bloods and you would be basicly back in range and if you are on the higher side you can say you jabbed the day before not realky an issue.

Going from 150 to 300 will take you over the range of what they try to keep you in for Australia. So basically it will take you over the 1000 which is when thry start to go.

Ohhhhh you really need to be under 1,000 otherwise they might not fill your script.

No need to taper up. Just do 400mg and do that as a cycle. 300 is fine but seei g as your already on trt might as well do it right.

No pct needed as you just go back to trt after the 10 or 12 weeks on it.

My tip. Go get the bloods you need now and get them into the doc then do your cycle so you don't have to worry about bloods for them.

Oh really it only takes a week to drop that much? Awesome news! Thanks heaps mate

Pretty much yeah. You may still be on the high side of things (assuming your on Test E)
But nothing you can't say that you had jjst injected the day before or 2 days before it.

Really as long as it's.not 1,500 plus then it shouldn't bring any red flags

I have been on test e although I'm about to switch to test c, not that it should make much difference as they have a similar half life from what I've researched

I was in the same boat, prescribed but topped up to 250mg. I did up an excel calculator to work out how much of my higher dose would be left in my system (based on a 5 day half life) for my first 8 weeks test. Worked fine for that one.

Did the same thing for my next one after another 12 weeks but didn’t work at all. Free test was still 1100 after 3 weeks off and 900 after 4 weeks. Assume my body had adapted and I’m also carrying a heap more muscle and lower body fat now.

Same issue as @rickyd I was on 250mg a week, first test was 1100, stopped injecting and two weeks later I was at 1000.

I'm not sure exactly how it works but Primoteston has a mean residual time of 8.5 days, which means it has a much slower decline than a single half life of 4.5 days. Steroid plotter doesn't seem to account for this either.

I've tried to use ChatGPT to forecast it for me, but it's still no where near what we've experienced. I'll update this post as I'm currently skipping my does now and will retest in a week or so.

Code:
For IM
# A common approximation is to scale the half-life-based estimate by the ratio MRT / (MRT + t_half)adjustment_factor = MRT / (MRT + t_half)adjusted_time = t / adjustment_factor

"This means that, after accounting for MRT effects, the time for your testosterone level to drop from 1100 to 700 is 4.49 days (4 days and 12 hours) instead of just 2.93 days based on the half-life alone."

SubQ
# New half-life for subQ injection (estimated 25% increase)t_half_subq = 5.6
# New mean residence time (estimated increase from 8.5 to 10.5 days)MRT_subq = 10.5
# Calculate new time estimate based on increased half-lifet_subq = t_half_subq * (math.log(Ct / C0) / math.log(0.5))
# Adjust using MRT correctionadjustment_factor_subq = MRT_subq / (MRT_subq + t_half_subq)adjusted_time_subq = t_subq / adjustment_factor_subq

This is still no where near what you and myself have experienced. Biological, physiolocial, diet, metabolism, hydration will all affect clearance times but I haven't been able to find any typical averages to account for this.

Sorry missed of the SubQ decline time:

With a subcutaneous (SubQ) injection, the estimated time for your testosterone level to drop from 1100 to 700 is approximately 5.6 days (about 5 days and 14 hours).

Ok thought I'd update this with my latest test, this time my test exactly halfed in two weeks after stopping injecting.

First test 1100 - 1000 after two weeks
Second test 1150 - 500 after two weeks

I need to find a dose which keeps me just under their prescribing limit, and make sure I come off a month before by the looks of it. I always thought from research before going on TRT that just levels should be almost perfectly stable, I suppose they are if you don't come off.
