Hi all,

I currently live in Melbourne and I'm thinking about eventually moving interstate/overseas to an area with more of a bodybuilding culture.

Just wondering which gyms/areas have the best bodybuilding culture - would overseas like USA (Tampa, Texas, Las Vegas) or UK (Manchester, London, Cheltenham) have far greater of a culture than say NSW/QLD or any other Aussie bodybuilding hotspot?

Thanks,
Nick

Thats a big move brother, and dedication 👊

Is it only for the BB scene you're after? The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Sometimes you’ll move thinking it’s the ultimate bodybuilding haven, but it’s the community and routine you build that makes all the difference.

Maybe you just need a holiday?

In all honesty, yes it is. To be fair, my coach and all of his clients are UK based and they seem like my kind of people. Also, the UK bodybuilding culture seems like my cup of tea tbh. But you're not wrong - it may be a case of me thinking the grass is greener... but in all honesty I have no obligations at the moment

Exactly- you’ll be traveling lots to all the events & workshops so best of both worlds. Don’t think I’d want to be around to many body builders pre-comp weeks 😅

Bodybuilding is what I live for though. I love every aspect of it.

Balance it with a bit of travel & outside recreation and you’ll enjoy it for life. I started in the early eighties and the only ones still doing ok had plenty of breaks (and excellent genetics )

Yes of course. But surely moving overseas to be closer to what I love isn't a bad thing?

If you want to compete with the best of the ifbb then you should go, otherwise enjoy your time there, sounds like good holiday.
